LITIG Equity Partners 'Analysis and Outlook of the Korean TPF' Forum
On February 20 at 9 a.m., LITIG Equity Partners, an international dispute funding consultancy led by CEO Jin-Seung Moon, will host a forum at Conrad Seoul in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. The event will focus on the theme "Analysis and Prospects of the 2025 South Korean TPF Market." TPF, short for "Third Party Funding," refers to a mechanism for funding international disputes through third-party financing.
The forum will feature prominent international arbitration experts, including Byung-Chol (B.C.) Yoon, Sae-Youn Kim, and Hyung-Keun Lee from Kim & Chang, as well as foreign attorney Sang-Yub (Sean) Lee from the International Arbitration Center of the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board (KCAB). They will share insights on the latest trends and forecasts regarding third-party funding.
Five experts are set to deliver presentations. Hyung-Keun Lee will analyze "Key Issues in Corporate Use of TPF," while Tae-Hun Lee, a foreign attorney (US) at LITIG Equity Partners, will address "Analysis and Recent Trends in the South Korean TPF Market." Sang-Yub (Sean) Lee, a foreign attorney (US) at KCAB, will discuss "TPF and International Dispute Resolution: Korea's Role and Global Trends." Two experts from OMNI Bridgeway will provide an investor’s perspective on the growth potential of South Korea’s TPF market.
Following the presentations, a panel discussion will take place, moderated by Joon-Hyug Chung, a professor at Seoul National University Law School. Panelists include Jong-Hyuk Shim, Head of Legal Group 1 at POSCO International; Tom Glasgow, Managing Director and CIO of OMNI Bridgeway; Sae-Youn Kim; and Jinseung Moon, CEO of LITIG Equity Partners. Topics for discussion include "Global Examples of TPF Models and Korea's Differentiation Strategies" and "Strategic Use of TPF by Corporations in Dispute Resolution."
