Introduction of Specific TPF Support Cases by Global Funding Group Expected
Litigation funding advisory firm LITIG Equity Partners is set to host its second seminar on November 1 under the theme "Analysis of Domestic and International Cases of TPF (Third-Party Funding)." This follows the seminar held last July on the topic "TPF Utilization for Cross-Border Disputes." The upcoming seminar is drawing significant attention, as it will include presentations of specific TPF support cases by a global funding group.

The seminar, scheduled for 10 a.m. on November 1 at JW Marriott Hotel Seoul, will include presentations such as "Analysis of Key Issues in International Disputes" by Kim & Chang’s foreign attorney Sup-Joon Byun and "Successful Negotiation Strategies for TPF" by LITIG Equity Partners’ foreign attorney Taehun Lee. Additionally, Mitchell Dearness and Lau Chee Chong from OMNI Bridgeway will present on "TPF Support Cases by Global Funding Group."
Following the presentations, a panel discussion on "Strategic Responses by Korean Companies to International Disputes and Utilization of TPF" will be held. Moderated by Professor Joon-Hyug Chung of Seoul National University Law School, the panel will feature participants including Youngil Ma, head of Samsung SDS’s Overseas Legal Group; Lau Chee Chong of OMNI Bridgeway; Sae Youn Kim, an attorney from Kim & Chang’s International Arbitration Group; and Jinseung Moon, CEO of LITIG Equity Partners.
LITIG Equity Partners noted, "Companies face financial challenges arising from various disputes during overseas operations, making strategic responses essential." The firm explained that the seminar aims to discuss practical experiences of domestic and international experts and share insights on effective TPF utilization strategies for global enterprises dealing with international disputes.
